The Seven Feasts and Christian Connections

This study compares seven annual observances in Leviticus 23 with Christ’s work. The New Testament explicitly connects Christ with Passover and firstfruits and places the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost. Other connections in this study are interpretations to examine.

Read each proposed fulfillment alongside its biblical context.

Read the context: Paul calls the observances in Colossians 2:16–17 “a shadow of things to come”. Christians dispute whether the passage includes the weekly Sabbath or concerns annual observances and the demands surrounding them. Hebrews 9 presents Christ’s sacrifice and heavenly ministry as the reality to which the sanctuary pointed. This book’s wider case for Sabbath observance addresses the Colossians dispute in Appendix B.
