Civil Rest Laws Are Not the Mark
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark..."

The map shows selected national legal examples rechecked against official sources on August 7, 2026. A civil weekly-rest or shop-closing rule does not establish compelled worship, informed allegiance to the beast, or Revelation 13’s economic exclusion. Gray means this study does not display a reviewed record, not that a country has no relevant law.
What the Map Establishes
Germany constitutionally protects Sunday as a day of rest while further law governs implementation. Austria, Poland, and Slovenia maintain substantial national restrictions. France and Belgium regulate Sunday work through rules with exceptions; the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom example shown here depend on municipal, regional, or territorial scope.
Tonga’s constitution requires the Sabbath Day to be kept holy and restricts trade on that day. These laws show that governments can regulate commerce around a weekly rest day. They do not show that the worship crisis of Revelation 13 is already in force.
Laudato Si’ paragraph 237 describes Eucharistic Sunday as a day of rest, relationship, resurrection, and creation; it does not propose a civil Sunday law. The European Sunday Alliance is a network of labor, employer, civil-society, and religious organizations that campaigns for a common work-free Sunday. Advocacy for labor policy should be distinguished from compelled religious observance.
The Adventist historicist reading followed by this book expects a future coercive worship test involving Sunday enforcement. Revelation does not identify any current rest law or proposal as that fulfillment. These records provide legal context, not a prophetic verdict.
