Explore selected New Testament manuscripts, the Latin Vulgate tradition, and printed Greek editions. Papyri are manuscripts written on papyrus. Majuscule manuscripts use capital letters; minuscules use a smaller script. Printed editions and translation traditions have separate rows.
The KJV is an English translation, not a Greek manuscript or edition. Its New Testament translators consulted several Textus Receptus editions. That printed tradition is broadly Byzantine but differs from the Byzantine manuscript tradition, modern Majority Text editions, and the Orthodox Patriarchal Text published in 1904. Modern eclectic editions weigh readings from many kinds of evidence case by case.
This is a teaching sample. Dates for handwritten manuscripts are approximate catalogue dates; dates for printed editions are publication years. The Vulgate developed over time. Counts refer only to the displayed entries. The arrangement does not rank their value or decide which reading is original.
